    1. SkillsPlus Development

    SkillsPlusDevelopmentThis programme provides the addition of exciting and inspiring personal development training over and above the core flight and ground training required for pilot licence issue.

    CAE Oxford Aviation Academy includes as integral components of the BA Future Pilot Programme:

    • A Degree (Ordinary Level) in Air Transport Management from Bucks New University
    • First Officer Fundamentals training (2 x 1 week modules)
    • Upset Prevention and Recovery Training in conjunction with training partner APS

    Degree (Ordinary Level) in Air Transport Management

    Academic accreditation of the programme provides valuable additional benefit to both BA and cadets. This degree programme, which can later be extended to a Masters degree, represents a unique and formally recognised educational qualification to add to the frozen ATPL with which you will graduate from our course. FPP cadets can also upgrade this degree to an Honours Degree for an additional fee.

    First Officer Fundamentals (FOF)

    The first FOF module focuses upon enhancing flight safety awareness and the importance of open communication and a 'no blame' culture within an airline, the second module upon the key role and responsibilities of a First Officer with particular emphasis upon developing commercial and environmental awareness skills within a team environment.

    APS Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT)

    aps-aircraftCAE Oxford Aviation Academy offers industry leading Upset Prevention and Recovery Training to cadets on the Future Pilot Programme in conjunction with our training partner APS.

    The UPRT programme is designed to teach pilots how to recognize, avoid and effectively recover from stalls, airplane upsets and a range of other unusual attitude situations, as well as enhance overall manual flying skills to improve safety of flight. Ground school and in-flight training using Extra 300L aircraft take place at APS’ school at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (the former Williams Air Force Base) in the United States. Cadets on the Future Pilot Programme will also receive an extra hour of flight training over and above our standard course.

    2. SkillsPlus Guarantee

    Our unique SkillsPlus Guarantee has been developed to give complete peace of mind during training with CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Oxford. It underlines our genuine and ethical commitment to the quality of both our training and our graduates. It provides for:

    • The return of up to £60,000 of your security bond in the most unlikely event that training ceases due to lack of aptitude (despite a cadet's best endeavours).
    • An all-inclusive training solution whereby CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Oxford commits to cover the costs incurred for all additional training and/or UK CAA ground exam or flight test retakes incurred throughout the programme up to the point of licence issue.
